Red Warrior is one of the most popular tracks form the soundtrack of the film ‘The Last Samurai’. Composed by the legendary German Hans Zimmer and released in 2003, the track features a large number of vocal shouts and chants, representing the ancient Samurai war cries. It is an exemplary show of Zimmer’s famous style – the usage of traditional Japanese instruments (such as the Taiko drums) in tandem with Western technology. The film score won a number of awards, including an ASCAP award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Score.
