Papercut is the first track and the third single from alternative rock band Linkin Park’s debut album ‘Hybrid Theory’ in 2001. One of the low-charting singles from the album, the song was nevertheless a hit, especially after the release of its enigmatic music video. It remained in the UK Singles Chart for 6 consecutive weeks, as well charting at #32 on Billboard Modern Rock Charts. Remix versions of the song were also featured on their mash-up album ‘Collision Course’ with Jay-Z as well as on their highly acclaimed album ‘Reanimation’ as “Ppr:Kut”. The music video is peculiar as inspite of the absence of acoustic elements, the guitarists are shown playing acoustic guitars and while drummer Rob Bourdon is shown sitting idle.
