Pharoahe Monch – Simon Says (album: Internal Affairs) Description:

Simon Says is the first single of the debut album Internal Affairs by rapper and hip-hop artist Pharoahe Monch. Released in 1999, the song was the fifth track of the album, and was produced by Pharoahe Monch himself. The chief songwriter on the single has been credited as T. Jamerson. The song was a Top 100 Hit in the US, missing the Top 40 charts by a whisker – an impressive for a debut single from a debutante artist. The song was, however, deleted from the charts because of a plagiarized sample of music from the cult film Godzilla versus Mothra.
