Released in 1982, Eminence Front is the second single off the album ‘It’s Hard” from the renowned rock band of the 80s, The Who. One of the few songs that had been exclusively written and crooned to the crowd by guitarist Pete Townshend, it became one of the most influential and critically acclaimed hits of that album. The song’s lyrics concern people in a party who are basically a hypothetical bunch trying to hide behind a façade of an eminent lifestyle.
